Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently a part with CNBC. She is a co-anchor for CNBC's shows 'Squawkon on the Street' and Closing Bell'. She's an Ohio native, and was not keen on markets or currencies when she was in college. She was an intern at ForexTV.com as an undergraduate at New York University. Her first exposure in the field of business news through this job. She went on to earn an advanced degree in broadcast journalism at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Then, she completed a four-month internship with Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. Following her return to US, she began to work for Bloomberg's offices in New York. Later, she was promoted to anchor on television. In December 2013, she was hired by CNBC as an anchor. After being a co-anchor for "Worldwide Exchange" as well as Power Lunch', she was employed by CNBC in the month of December 2013. Then, she was offered the job at Closing Bell in the year 2018. Eisen has been co-anchoring 'Squawk on the Street' since 2014. A well-known journalist in the business world today her main area of interest is global consumer news since she joined CNBC.
