Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She received the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her father is a director of the theater at one of Romania's top theater schools. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film, the actress will also be famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards like the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was in 2007 the lead role in on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days), by Cristian Mungiu. The film received two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Also, she was on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian Drama Boogie. In the movie Fury (2014) the actress was Irma, the German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
