Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress, best famous for her role in film for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is a film and theater actress, and she is also a producer. Her acting career started in the theater. Her appearances then included various television series, independent films and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also numerous nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. The first time she was professionally acted as Ariel In The Tempest. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner.
